John E. Allen, age 73 of Newtown died May 14, 2011 in Danbury Hospital. He was born in Norwalk March 5, 1938 a son of the late Myer C. and Mildred F. (Kriewald) Allen. John was raised in Westport. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. For 25 years, John was employed by the Town of Newtown Highway Department until his retirement. He was a member of the Connecticut Yankee Chapter Truck Club.
John is survived by his son, John C. Allen of Newtown; a grandson, John Allen of Waterbury; a step-son, James Tucciarone and his wife, Lisa of Attleboro, Mass.; a step-daughter, Diane Kamerzall and her husband Jim of Daytona, Fla.; 4 sisters, Jeanne Fowler of Willington, Joyce Fraser of Woodbury, Bernice Camp of Lake Helen, Fla. and Cheryl Infante of Danbury.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday May 23rd at 12:00noon at the Newtown Village Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday May 22 from 2:00 to 5:00pm in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
