Lillian L. Arndt, age 90 wife of the late Albert K. Arndt and previously of Newtown died May 16, 2011, with her family by her side in Sun City, Arizona.

Mrs. Arndt was born August 1, 1920 in Willimantic, CT. to Harold and Mathilda Lucas. A resident of Newtown from 1950 to 2007, Lillian was an active member of First Church of Christ Scientist in Bridgeport where she served as First Reader and Reading Room Librarian.

Mrs. Arndt is survived by her sons, Kenneth A. Moody-Arndt of Canal Fulton, Ohio and Curtis B. Arndt of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren Rebekah Arndt, Dallas Arndt and Joshua Moody-Arndt; and her sisters Elinor Ziegler of Huntington and Claire Loomis of Middletown.
Funeral services will be held at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown on Saturday, May 21 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Newtown Village Cemetery.
