Louis R. Belcolore, age 60 of Newtown died December 7, 2009 in Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Jeannette (Barressi) Belcolore and was born on Sept. 18, 1949 in Queens, NY a son of the late Louis P. and Margaret (Bodnovich) Belcolore.
Lou served in the US Navy Reserves from 1970 to 1972. He was employed by IBM from 1968 to 1998 and by Altria from 1999 to 2007. Mr. Belcolore resided in Wappingers Falls, NY from 1979 to 2003 and in Richmond, VA from 2003 to 2007 when he moved to Newtown.
In addition to his wife of 37years, Lou is survived by 2 daughters, Jennifer Belcolore- Arguello and her husband Raul and Lisa Merrill and her husband Kevin and 4 grandchildren, Isabella Mia Arguello, Gabriella Sofia Arguello, Antonio Arguello and Benjamin Merrill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, CT on Saturday January 16, 2010 at 1:00pm. Memorial contributions to the American Lung Association at http://www.lungusa.org. The Honan Funeral Home 58 Main Street Newtown is in charge of arrangements.
