Obituary: Martha C. Hurd Dubail



Martha C. Hurd Dubail, age 100, a lifelong resident of Monroe died Saturday November 7, 2009 in Masonicare at Newtown. Mrs. Dubail was the wife of the late Ernest F. Dubail.
She was born on May 7, 1909 a daughter of the late Ambrose and Florence (Wales) Hurd. Martha was a graduate of the Bridgeport Hospital Nursing School and for many years was a private duty nurse at Sunnyside Convalescent Home in Stratford. She was the oldest member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and until recently, was active there. Mrs. Dubail was a member of the Monroe Historical Society and had attended the Monroe and Derby Senior Centers.
She is survived by 2 sons, Ronald Dubail and his wife Martha I., Arnold Dubail and his wife Joy; a daughter Christine Bennett and her husband Thomas all of Monroe and 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday November 11, 2009 at 2:00pm in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Monroe. Interment will follow in Monroe Center Cemetery.
