Condolence: Mike was a man I knew almost my entire life. One of the kindest men I have ever met. It was so clear how much he loved his family, EVERYTHING he did was for them. I always had a special place in my heart for Holroyd family. Mike always told people that he saw a great future for me and I never will forget that. We will all miss you so much, Thank you for all you have taught me.

Condolence: To the Holroyd family,

I am so sorry for your loss of your husband and father. People always say "he was the nicest guy" but in this case Mike was truly one of the nicest men I have ever met. He always had a warm calming way about him. It was a pleasure knowing and working with Mike over the last twenty years. May the happy memories help you through this difficult time of profound sadness. God bless.

Condolence: My condolences go out to Mike's family during this sadden time. We have gained another wonderful angel up in heaven.
I had the pleasure working for Mike in the collections unit. Mike lit up our department with continuous smile and laughs.
No words can explain how difficult it is to lose such an amazing supervisor at DAS.
May god Bless your families broken hearts.

Condolence: So sorry to hear about Mike's passing while I was in the process of making plans of coming to our 45th High School Reunion in Stratford, CT. in early September. Having lived in Florida since 1978, these type of events, along with many holidays being spent in Connecticut were the times that I reconnected with Mike and others of our high school "family". I grew up with Mike since grammar school and his family lived close to mine, sharing rides to Little League games and school functions. I, along with our other classmates, will miss Mike's smile and good humor at the upcoming reunion and send all of Mike's family my deepest condolences in his sudden passing.

Condolence: I wanted to express heartfelt condolences to Mike's family. There's such a sense of helplessness when a loved one dies. I'd like to share some scriptural thoughts that really helped me. Prayer is so valuable at this time, but it's not that prayer simply makes us feel better. 2 Cor. 4:7 says that God can give us, "...power beyond what is normal", to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry or that we forget, but it means we recover. The reason we recover is because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28, "...all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out". Jesus was referring to the resurrection; this is our hope that helps us recover and gives us power to go on. Thinking deeply on this promise can powerfully affect our emotions and give us peace. 2 Cor. 1:3 describes our Creator as, "...the God of all comfort". One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May God (Ps. 83:18) grant you peace and comfort now during this time of sorrow.

Condolence: Carla, I MET YOU ONLY ONCE, AND NEVER YOUR DAUGHTERS. MY CONDOLENCES ARE NOT LESSER DUE TO THAT. MIKE WAS ONE OF THE NICEST MEN I HAVE KNOWN. HE SPREAD HIS CALMNESS, KINDNESS,AND INNER LIGHT WHERE EVER HE WAS PRESENT. I NEVER SAW HIM LOSE HIS TEMPER WHICH WAS REMARKABLE TO ME CONSIDERING SOME OF THE SITUATIONS WE HAD AT WORK. I ALWAYS ADMIRED HIM FOR THAT AS IT WAS NOT ONE OF MY STRENGTHS. PLEASE KNOW THAT MIKE WILL BE REMEMBERED FONDLY BY MANY FOLKS. BE WELL IN YOUR SORROW AND AFTER.

Condolence: Mike was a good friend of mine in our high school years, who was always kind and considerate and lots of fun with a great sense of humor. We had some great times in classes, on the basketball court and in social functions. I was blessed to reconnect with Mike at the 30th and 40th Bunnell Class of '71 Reunion.
I am so sorry for this loss to his loving family and dear friends. My prayers are offered for each and every one. God grant you peace.
