Richard "Dick" Hall, age 84, of Newtown passed away on March 15, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Dick is predeceased by his Valentine, Ellen. He is survived by his 4 children, Barbara Higgins of Florida, Dan Hall of Newtown, Carolyn Simonson of Newtown, Katie Charbonneau of Southbury, and 8 grandchildren. He served with the Marines during the Korean War, was a longtime resident of Newtown, was passionate about books, and was a volunteer with the Friends of the Cyrenius H Booth Library. Calling hours will be between 11 and 1 on Tuesday, March 18, at the Honan Funeral Home in Newtown CT.
