It is with great sadness that the family of Rita L. Klees of Newtown, announces her peaceful passing at Danbury Hospital after a courageous four-year battle with ALS, on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the age of 68.
Rita will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend, Dennis and her stepchildren Maryann (Joseph) and Dennis (Tabatha). Rita will also be fondly remembered by her four step grandchildren, Brianna, Kaitlin, Leanna and Dylan, by her sisters Lori (George) Gordon, Joan Johnson, brother Ralph (Donna) Johnson, as well as fifteen nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her sister Barbara (John) Hinck.
Rita was born on December 15, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York. She attended Wayne High School and was awarded with a B.A. degree with a major in accounting by William Paterson University. She was a certified public accountant and held a series of increasingly responsible corporate positions, most recently as Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting for a major chemical company. Among her numerous positive traits, Rita was the most selfless person you would ever meet - always looking out for others before herself.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday April 5, 2018 at 11:00am in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment will be private.
