Obituary for Robert Gregory Graves

Robert Gregory  Graves
Robert G. Graves, 59 of Newtown passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 26th 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Janet. He was a devoted father to his children Jason, Douglas and Rachel. Robert was born in Key West Florida the son of Elizabeth Graves and the late Robert F. Graves, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA. He is also survived by a brother, Daniel Graves of Chesapeake, VA, and sisters, Mary (Mark) Kearney of Ruckersville, VA and Melanie (Thomas) Brannan of Chesapeake, VA along with many nieces and nephews. Robert was a graduate of Villanova University. He proudly served the U.S. Navy for 4 years then graduated from Touro Law School and worked as an attorney. An avid Civil War Reenactor, he participated with two Regiments in the New England area. For several years he educated students at Newtown Middle School about the Civil War with a living history exhibit. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Saturday January 5th at St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown.
