Ruth Marie Cabral, 73, previously of Sandy Hook, passed away peacefully at her residence in Danbury on Monday January 26th.
Ruth was born in Bridgeport on September 24th, 1941, a daughter of the late Earl and Ruth Lockwood. She is survived by her five loving children Ruth Cabral, Julie Walsh, Debbie Arsenault and her husband CJ, Barbara Cabral and Charles Cabral as well as her siblings Florence, Bobby, George, Linda, Judy and Jean. Also survived by her beloved grandchildren; Crystal, Kendra, John, Nicole, Tyler, Danielle and Jenna as well as her great grandsons; Jack, Declan and Will. She was predeceased in death by her siblings Earl, Doris, Joan, Freddie and Harold.
Ruth worked for many years in the food service industry. She will be missed by all and remembered for her love of cards, football, baking with the family, and bingo.
The family will receive friends at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown on Friday January 30th from 4 to 7 p.m.; with a service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Regional Hospice, 30 Milestone Rd, Danbury, CT.
