Theresa Hetes Girgasky, age 92, previously a longtime resident of Trumbull, passed peacefully at her home in Englewood, CO on November 17, 2017 where she spent her last six years. She was born in Bridgeport September 28, 1925 a daughter of the late Mary (Nemergut) and George Hetes. In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by brothers John & George Hetes and husband Joseph Girgasky. She enjoyed listening to a variety of music, puzzle games and most especially the company of her five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Theresa is survived by her three children Pat Falcone of Englewood, CO, Teresa Tichy of New York City and Joseph Girgasky of Newtown; 5 Grandchildren Mike Falcone of Englewood,CO, Greg Falcone of Denver, CO and Teresa Falcone of Vancouver, BC, Kathryn Carreon-Tichy of New York City and Mitchell Girgasky of Newtown and 3 great grandchildren Fiona & Norah Falcone and Aiden Carreon-Tichy; and cousins, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday November 25, 2017 at 10:00am in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends and relatives may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown Friday November 24 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
