Virginia Bounty Long age 63 of Newtown passed suddenly Saturday September 30, 2017. She was survived by her loving husband of 41 years Roland Long, her mother and step father Nancy and Bob Melson of San Marcos, CA; sisters Susan Oliver of Summerville, SC and Beth Mackenzie of Tiverton, Rhode Island; brothers Scott Bounty of Newtown and Tom Bounty of Ashford, CT; her son Roland Long and his wife Elizabeth, and her 3 Grandchildren Aidan, Roland and William all of Heber City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Bounty and her son Travis Long. Ginny loved horses and dogs and worked with animals most of her life. She had recently retired from work at The Canine College in West Redding, CT. A celebration of life will be held in her memory for immediate family.
