William P. Kelly, 75, Retired Captain, New York City Police Department of Liberty at Newtown passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2009 after a long bout with cancer. He was the loving husband of Annemarie (Holt) Kelly, cherished father of William, Gregory and Christopher, loving father-in-law of Deborah, Linda and Kristen, and grandfather of Sean, Kevin, Peter, Danny and Carolyn. Calling hours will be held for family and friends at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Wednesday, December 30th from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 31st at 10:30am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, CT followed by interment at St. Rose Cemetery.
