Jean Grace Carnaghi, daughter of the late Ralph and Genevieve DeMeo, was born on March 4, 1938 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and passed away at her home in Southbury on June 22, 2011. Mrs. Carnaghi was a resident of Newtown from 1974 to 2002.

She is survived by her son and daughter, Andrew Michael Carnaghi (Dr. Roberta Levine Carnaghi) of Katonah, New York and Cara Suzanne Carnaghi Ingalls (Stephen A.) of Lansing, Kansas; three grandsons, Hayden Samuel Carnaghi of Katonah, New York , Zachary Nathan Ingalls of Lawrence, Kansas, Andrew David Ingalls of Overland Park, Kansas; and one sister, Barbara DeMeo Kelly of Sagle, Idaho.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Major Richard A. Carnaghi, U.S. Army in 2002.

Private Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, July 1 at the West Point Cemetery on the grounds of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
