Lawrence D. Osmanski, age 62 of Sandy Hook, Connecticut died November 4, 2010 at his home. He was born in Pittsburgh on August 12, 1948 a son of the late Stanley and Helen (Wiloch) Osmanski. Larry was a graduate of Point Park University in Pittsburgh and before retirement he was employed by Pitney Bowes Financial Services.
Mr. Osmanski is survived by his wife, Barbara McAvoy of Sandy Hook; a son John Osmanski of Charlotte, NC; a daughter, Katie Burger and her husband Jordan of White Plains, NY; a grandson, Jake; 2 stepchildren, Abigail and Brian Jones of Brookfield, CT; a brother, Gerald Osmanski and his wife Elaine of Beaver, PA and a sister, Ginny Yarnell and her husband Joe of Hickory, NC.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, CT Wednesday November 10, 2010 at 11:00am. Interment in St. Rose Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home 58 Main Street Newtown, CT Tuesday November 9th from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Donations to the St. Rose of Lima Memorial Fund, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, CT 06470 will be appreciated.
