Winifred Brickmeier

I was very surprised when I received the Newtown Bee to see that my friend Nancy Fraczek lost her husband, Kirk, to pancreatic cancer. I did not see the obituary until Saturday, so I was not able to go to the calling hours. I did stop at the Middle School the week before Christmas to drop off some home made chocolate for Nancy. I am sure Kirk is out there with our Sandy Hook angels. I am thinking of the Fraczek family. I did send a memorial to the Newtown Scholarship Fund. I taught at Newtown High School for 22 years. Then after I retired, I spent 12 years working with students at the Middle School, then running the Homework Club for a number of years. We had the H.W. Club in the Media Center, where Nancy Fraczek works with Jeanne Bugay, leader of the Media Center. It is so difficult to be losing so many people in your lives. Now that I am 72 years old, you never know what is going to happen. Best of all. Win Brickmeier
