My fondest memories of my sister, Nancy, was visiting Grandma and Grandpa Stiver who lived in a large country house with lily ponds, flower and vegetable gardens. They had chickens, ducks, geese and dogs. Our grandparents catered to the grandchildren with an attic filled with toys and doll furniture made by our grandfather. Our grandmother made sure the dining room cupboard was always full of candy which we could help ourselves at any time. Over the years, we had several enjoyable trips together visiting Cape Cod, Boston, Plymouth Plantation and New York. In August 2010, we visited Nancy and Don's cabin at Lake Vermillion in Cook, Minnesota. Nancy and I picked blueberries together and she made a blueberry pie which was a real treat. In October 2011, we celebrated Nancy and Don's 50th wedding anniversary in Kauai, Hawaii. Nancy loved the warm weather and we had fun looking for seashells on the beach.
Nancy has always had good spirits and she was thankful for the love and support from friends and family.
