Your old neighbor remembers your mom

I don't know if Debbie or Laurie will ever read this, as the memorial is already a few years old. Something made me think of your mother today as I did chores in my kitchen. I Googled her name and found out, sadly, that she had passed away. I've enjoyed reading all the stories about her and they seem to support my memory of her having a very silly sense of humor and making us laugh, something few mothers did back then with young children. I remember your mother making you practice the piano, talking about her sister and her grandparents, frosting her hair, and saying " Oh, for Pete's sake!". She was a kind and gentle person, and made your house a home that felt safe and welcoming to a little neighbor girl. I am sorry to hear that she was disabled in some way later in life. I remember her still healthy and smiling, self deprecating and silly, as I hope she is again now.
